I was born into a family of artists and have always loved visual arts. I attended the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC and majored in Art History at the University of Maryland in College Park.
I started Home Portraits due to requests from friends to create art for and of their homes. Years ago, my good friend Jen wanted a unique, one-of-a-kind present for her parents. She commissioned me to do a portrait of her family home. Having always been inspired by the works of Georges Seurat, I attempted a pen and ink home portrait in his pointillist style.
Since then, my home portraits have become many things to many people. They have served as mementos of homes children have grown up in, they have become symbols of hard work and perseverance, they have even served as keepsakes of ancestral homes. Whatever purpose they serve for the client, they have become a source of pride for me.
Other than my home portraits, I have also created lemonlime kids. lemonlime kids grew from a need to stay home for my children and and an even more personal need to be creative.
